Albemarle Plantation is a gated waterfront residential golf community located on Albemarle Sound in Hertford, North Carolina. If you are looking for one of NC or Hertford’s 55+ communities, Albemarle Plantation is not one of them; all ages are welcome. However, its focus on golf and luxury make it a natural choice for retirement, and it could be a great addition to North Carolina’s active adult retirement communities!
Amenities
Homeowner’s fees — $1,310 per year for an unimproved property and $1,642 per year for an improved property — cover almost all of Albemarle’s amenities. Golf club initiation and membership is the only extra cost. Dan Maples designed Albemarle’s championship golf course and Golf Digest ranked it as one of the “201 Best Places to Play.” There is a 212-slip marina, spacious waterfront clubhouse, lighted tennis courts, a 25 meter pool, community gardens and scenic walking trails.
